Dear bridge friends,

            I feel very sorry about writing  you, that The First Prague International Bridge Festival is being canceled,  because of low attendance.

            Also the new, not very good political international situation, which causes problems all over the world, didn´t help us to do the successful competition.

            We´ve distributed over 1000 invitations and have prepared very miscellaneous and  beautiful cultural program for your free time and a lot of bridge contests which were suppose to be in Hotel Praha. 

Because of, the above written reasons,  a lot of people canceled the booking I must, faithful,  write you this apologetic letter.

             I hope, we´ll be more successful next year  and you will join to our festival in Prague 2002.
